Okay you have all waited long enough.......

Don & I have been talking about kids for some time now.....yesterday we finally recieved the ok from the adoption agency....YES we are now parents !!!! Can you believe it.....oh my god !!! We have adopted a baby girl...she is beautiful. We have named her Teajka Mussellam-Boekenkruger.....you say it (Tea Ka)...Don thought it would be cool to have a silent "J".

We are both VERY excited ! We had our first night with her last night and all went well, other than the 4:00am wake up call. We both feel extremely blessed to have our sweet dear Teaka come into our lives......our heart are full of joy and love.

I know it has been a LONG time since I last posted.....sorry about that. Well.....sometime good things come to those who wait......over these last couple months Don and I have been having lots of discussions and we have had quite a few decisions to make in our life together. It has been a long, drawn out process but we have FINALY made the decision and have some wonderful news to share to you all........

It's that time again.....

Hello everyone....

I hope you all are done your Christmas shopping and have wrapped all your gifts, after all it is Dec 18th.....1 week until the BIG DAY !!!! hahaha....if any of you are done and have wrapped everything....well......good for freeekin' you !!! I of course am still running around trying to purchase those last few items on my lunch breaks.....ya an hour isn't long enough that's for sure !!!

Don and I have managed to put up a tree and do up a festive Christmas mantle. I haven't had a chance to do the wreath yet....may sometime this week.....if not... oh well there is always next year....right !??!

Anywho....here are some pictures of the tree and mantle to prove that we actually did it.....and of the 2 of us too.

LOOK OUT NANAIMO I HAVE ARRIVED !!!

The move went.....well.....as good as to be expected.
Thank god that Michael came by to help cause if he didn't I am sure that Don and I would still be debating on how to put the tarp on ...hahaha !!!! Thanks Michael you are wonderful person and I am SO proud to call you my Brother !! Sorry that I won't be around to help you and Vashti out on your big move this weekend.....at least you guys went the smart way and in listed people to do it for you....meow that's using your noodles !!! hehehe.....

All is good with me....slowly unpacking and getting to know my surroundings. Yesterday was a BIG day for me.....I ventured out on my own and ....yes...wait for it.........I found the MALL ......yay !!!!!!! I knew it was somewhere but I have never driven to it on my own so that was big for me.......UNFORTUNATELY my car keys have now been taken away from me by Don....he says that I shouldn't be exploring on my own.....it gets me into trouble. Yes that is also true.....in finding the Mall I celebrated by spending WAY to much money...hehehe..... I have a problem......I must shop !!! I'm only kiddin though....he never actually took my keys from me.......but he is concerned about me and the Mall now. Well at least I never bought any shoes or purses.....hehehe. After hearing for 2 days straight about why I needed a 27inch TV box full of shoes and purses...if I was to bring home more......I think I would be taking up Gary & Lexie on there offer of renting out there basement suite ...hahahaha !!!

Anyways....things are going good so far......next week I have to buckle down and look for work. Yes ....the dreaded job search......not looking forward to that, but on a good note I have noticed a few help wanted signs around....none in the field I am trained in.....but hey....work is work.....and if I have to scan groceries for a bit ...well I will.

Hello all.........
Well today is the day.....Oct 1st.....I finally gave my notice at work !! Yup....I have until Oct 19th then I am outta here !! Oct 20th is the scheduled move date to Nanaimo.....poor Don has NO idea what he is in for...hehehe kiddin..... we are both VERY excited about this new chapter in our lives.

Hey ya alls....

Sorry for the long time no post.....bad I know !!
Just a quick Hello to you all......I am doing really good. Don and I are off to Port McNeil tonight for his brother Gary and the wonderful, beautiful Lexie's wedding. I hope the weather is good cause it is outside rain or shine......no plan B....come on people what's wrong with you....you ALWAYS need a plan B....hahaha !!!

Last week Don and I spent it at his family cabin up island at Horne Lake. The weather was nice most of the time....some iffy days....then came the rain & thunder.....we stuck around until Saturday afternoon then high tailed it outta there. It was nice to get back to Don's to have a nice "HOT" shower. I got some nice pictures to show you all but sadly I am at work and no way to download them cause they are at home......oh well I promise to post some when I get back from up island.....the beginning of September.

Hello all...

Well not much news to report......other than I spent most of the week packing the office for the big move this weekend. Granville Street is getting far to expensive these days so we are relocated about a block and a half away on 6th just off Hemlock. Well the good news for me is.....I'm on vacation as of today. YIPPEEEE !!! So looking forward to chillin out and doin nothing. Don is busy this weekend at this brothers stag so I am heading over to Gibsons tomorrow to see Sara, Jake, Brad and the Shorthouse Family. It has been far to long since I have been over that way and WAY to long since I have seen the Shorthouse family.

Anywho....last weekend I was over in Nanaimo spending time with Don. We went for a hike on Saturday......yes in the rain again.....it was nice, except I got soaking wet. Oh well.....like a very wise woman always says.... " you're not a Popsicle...you won't melt !!" Yes she sure is one wise woman !!

I thought I would finally put up a new post......amazing I know !!

Not to much to report. This weekend I stayed on the Mainland cause Don had a wedding to attend in Duncan. So I took the opportunity to hang out with Sara and Jake. I have only seen them twice since they have been back so it was long over due. Saturday I headed over to North Van where they are staying with Sara and Mike Yates. Sara & Mike have a really nice place which is HUGE !! We all went for a walk to Lynn Valley (at least I think that is where we were !!!).... me, Sara, Jake, Sara & some of her other family members......an of course Zilla. Brad was working so no walk from him. After the walk we went back to the Yate's for a great BBQ, awesome homemade Sangria and topped all off with cheesecake.....yummm.

A couple weeks back now.....Don and I ventured over to Protection Island, had a good lunch at the Pub then walked across to New Castle Island to do some exploring. We had good timing to cross over...only had to jump across a 5 foot wide river.......well at least if was only like a foot deep !! Needless to say.....I didn't quite make the jump. Anyway.....we trooped on in the rain (yes it was a crappy, rainy weekend adventure !!) with my wet feet to check out the Island. The rain stopped.....and we walked all around the Island. Man I never realized just how big New Castle Island really is......pretty big walk, but good. Along our walk we saw lots of sea creatures on the beach (low tide) and other interesting things.
