Christmas Eve......
Sorry kids......no pics this time.
Just want to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas !!!!
I have made it Powell River......it was touch and go for awhile there.
I started off the week great......sadly as I neared Wednesday I found myself peering at a FLAT TIRE. Yes....I said flat tire....as I scratch my head and wonder what the hell....I give good old Canadian Tire a call...cause hey, the know tires ....right ??? It's in there name, right ??!?!
They tell me they are open late so I venture down after work (my neighbor at work let me use his air compressor.) I ended up leaving my car there for them to work on so I would have to pick it up the next morning. Well 3hrs later I get a call from them saying that they don't have any tires that fit.....strange that they wouldn't have told me this earlier that day when I call to see if they had any for my car......yes, yes...strange in deed. So the next morning I troop down and pick up my car....at least they put the spare on for me....I asked them to call there other store on Burrard......I'm in luck...they have 2 tires left that are my size....yeah !!!! I race down and drop my car off ......since I am there I asked them to check the hoses on the coolant as well cause the light keeps coming on and off....well talk about opening a whole can of woop ass !!! So Canadian Tire calls me and says that they have put the new tires on....for a small fortune mind you.....then wham oh.....here's the bad mood.......my water pump is leaking......yeee hawww !!
Just what I need !!! Anywho long story short....I called Bill....the mechanic that I went to last year and beg and pleaded with him to see if he could fix it and by Friday (the next day for those of you who aren't really paying attention)......boy I don't ask for mch....do I !!! He told me to bring it over and he would have a look and see what he could do. I took it up and crossed my finger. He said he could do it.....but he was not sure until he got in there how long it was going to take. After I tossed and turned all night I woke up and headed to work. I never heard from Bill all morning....I began to panic, cause I was supposed to leave for the Coast the next morning. I broke down and called Bill......he said it all looks good and that it would be ready soon. Talk about relief !!! Then I saw the bill......not Bill the mechanic....the bill bill.......YIKES !!!! Right about now I am wondering if I had any chance in winning the Visa win what you buy deal....then I begin to wonder if this would actually count as part of a purchase.....knowing my luck NO !!
Now it is Christmas Eve.....I made it to big ol' PR safe and sound......of course no sooner did I get here an hour later the power when off. It was out for about 4hrs.....it wouldn't have matter much but Dad was having a Christmas Eve get together and expecting several family members and had to make a ham dinner. Well it all turned out in the end. Another CRAZY family get together !!!! Can't wait for the Christmas dinner get together !!!
I shall retire now to bed and count the number of red-neck monster trucks I have seen today in my head.....tomorrow Santa comes. I hope he understands that I TRIED to be a good girl this year !!!! Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

Auntie Erin, NO POWER, That sucks. We didnt lose power but we did have an event filled couple of days. After you left the other day. Corrina ended up at ER with a Kidney Infection. They wanted to admit her because she was so bad. But, they couldn't find a vein for an iv or anything she said she would rather be a home anyway, so, she went home she was a mess. She was quite sick. ANyway, she is starting to feel better now. Grandma was ok. She is however she is. ANyway, we had a good visit from st nick and thanks for the memory. Emma and I played it for an hour the other day. I didn't know she could sit still that long. glad you had an ok trip. Hope to hear from you. The bboys have had a rough couple of nights. Robbie got here CHristmas night around 6:30 or so, that started a party. Anyway talk to you soon, Deb
